My next SolidWorks x Lego Build & Learn Series. Will you help?

Help me with the next Project

Thank you for watching and subscribing! Hopefully you've enjoyed either or both of my SolidWorks x Lego projects on YouTube - building the Off-Road Buggy or Volvo Wheel Loader. I've been experimenting along the way with how to record, edit and publish those videos. Now I'd like your help to guide my next series.

I'm keen to record and publish more modelling tutorials, but want to ensure I'm hitting the mark for what YOU want to learn. Can you help me help you? If so, I'd love to hear from you.

There are multiple ways you can get in touch with me.

  1. Hit REPLY to this email, then respond to the questions I'm posing below.
  2. Get in touch with me via LinkedIn or on Discord

Here are the questions I'm interested in asking you.
Please answer as few or as many as you wish:

  • Would you like to see more LEGO-related SolidWorks tutorials?
  • Did you prefer the long series format of the Off-Road Buggy (26 episodes) or the shorter format of the Wheel Loader (9 episodes)?
  • Do you prefer: rough content, such as from a livestream? Or edited lessons with less "working out"?
  • Did you access and use the downloadable files?
  • Did you use the SolidWorks or STEP files?

Other Updates

New Website

I've been working quietly away on the Fully Defined website. I'm linking in my entire LEGO video library in one place, along with links to the resources and my CSWA course. I have a few ideas still to implement. If you'd like to check it out and provide some feedback, please feel free.

Latest Product Release

Real work talk. If you weren't aware of my background, I'm a Product Design Engineer at Quad Lock here in Melbourne, Australia. It's not every day you get to release a new product to the world, but last week it was my turn for the latest extension to our CAR range - the Cup Holder Mount. If you follow Quad Lock on any of our socials, you'll have no doubt been served a couple of ads in the past week, telling you about the product. This was an enjoyable and challenging project that I hope to discuss further in the future.

Thanks for reading and watching - have a great week

Chris

Hi Reader, A while ago, you downloaded some of my LEGO SolidWorks files. I’ve now taken that idea a lot further… I’ve built a Fully Defined LEGO CAD Library and moved everything into a new Skool community where you can: Browse every LEGO part I’ve modelled in SolidWorks Download individual part files and complete project assemblies (as ZIPs) Grab STEP files if you’re on an older SolidWorks version or another CAD system Jump straight to the videos where parts and assemblies are built Start...

LEGO Set 42132-1 Motorcycle (Model - A-Model)

Hi Fully Defined subscribers, I don't email often, I promised no spam! I'll only email you when I've got something worthwhile. For the past couple of weeks, I've been livestreaming in SolidWorks on YouTube while I model the parts of this Lego Motorcycle. Set 42132 Modelling of the parts is now complete, and I'm preparing to host a major livestream where I complete the whole assembly - this should be fun! The live stream will be the launch for my Skool community and content there. Community...
